I am getting ready to upgrade my car to a 493 and have a couple of questions for the list.
1) I have dual EGT probes and a Digatron that have been invaluable in optimizing jetting and preventing cylinder melt-downs in my Kawi. But where should I install them in the 493 Y pipe (Hulings)? It seems to be a tradeoff between being too close to the port (I think Aaen recommends ~8" downstream) and being farther away where you can't distinguish one cylinder from the other. 2) The 493 I found after searching all winter (a whole story in itself), has only 23 miles on it (owner backed it off the trailer into a tree). The sled owner's manual recommends a 300 mile/10 hour break-in before using full throttle. That would take a while in autocross! Any recommendations like pre-mix, etc.?
