Sorry to be unclear: I am using the vanilla Fabric version 0.0.9, installed
via easy_install, with Paramiko 1.7.2, and the sudo() call in my fabfile
seems to now work just fine; I use ssh-keys so I don't see a password prompt
now...well, as described initially, I didn't see a prompt before either, but
it also just hanged at the sudo() call.

Paramiko I also installed via easy_install, to version 1.7.2 (had to
uninstall 1.6.x via APT first).
