I want to chain 2 actions: 1/ file, 2/ mail First, as I still have found no documentation on the syntax of fail2ban configuration files, I would like a confirmation that the "actioncheck" command's purpose is to decide if an IP is indeed to be banned (command's return status == 0) or not (command's return status != 0).
If so, then I wish to know if actionchecks are processed beforehand, or if each action file is processed in full; in other words, is the order: file actioncheck, file actionban, mail actioncheck, mail actionban or file actioncheck, mail actioncheck, file actionban, mail actionban ? Finally, what is the result of a check failure on subsequent actions? My wish is to have the mail action trigger ONLY IF the file actioncheck passed.
