Both sides are trying to exercise compassion from their own angles: one 
to save her life by giving her food and the other to end her protracted 
state. In his opinion she already was dead, has no quality of life: her 
ECG is "flat", she is technically brain dead. These are the new 
dilemmas of our technical society--50 years ago there would never have 
been such a situation to worry over.

He also got a shot in for his new book.

He looked terrible. Probably needs some PK.
