Clearest way I know of to recognize past (and future) lives is to understand they ARE in the Now. :-) -----Yeah Boi!  In fact, supposedly by seeing the karmas as they are now one can see their genesis.  Certainly the karma of the Catholic Church is older than any of us and still effects us. Karmas are long lived. Beware the dog says to the fool, when you step in. There are more subtle and long lived karmas than the church, so also one can see karmas that are lives old by recognizing them in the present. Like sex. That's a heavy karma.
