There was a 60 Minutes two weeks ago on this very topic. NASA is about to make available software which has a visual display in the vehicle. Essentially what it does is plot highways in the sky. It will allow average Joes and Janes to drive a sky-vehicle. They showed several of the vehicles. This will happen very soon. My son was crestfallen as he was certain he would invent the first hybrid car-helicoptor.
