Oh, that line. I use that "torn away and one sees their own face," line quite a bit."  Let's try some applied verbaige:   I was walking down the street when there was a fourteen car pile up which barely missed me. I knew I was alive still for one reason. I stood at the curb and lifting the veil on this huge accident I saw my own face. I knew I had to go home and crash myself. I had been show the truth in a galling manner. Rest before activity, or after, just not during.   Oh well, to continue would be to wear out some good rhetoric. I'll save this trump for other days.
