Ram--depending on intent and context, can be a bija-akshara.

Hoong Phat or Hum Phat (Ph being an aspirated "p")

Yes, it does.

A mula mantra is the "root" mantra, the more common name for the long
"chain" of mantra is a "dharani". If you receive a full transmission of
the mantra, you will receive the "seed" and how the dharani unfolds
from it to reveal the mandala of the deity.

The ones he gave us as teachers are a small piece of all the bijas, but
infer (as you mentioned already) a shakta source--although one can find
them in numerous tantras. They are not Vedic. If one receives the
highest transmission of mantra, one automatically receives ALL of them
into their mindstream.

I seriously doubt that Guru Dev ever trained Mahesh in their use or
their transmission. Not only would he have to break tradition to do so,
he would also violate "natural law" and his own vows.
