Better to research facts than try to create them by speculating.

wages in the U.S. as $36,764 for 2002.

median household income remained unchanged between 
2002 and 2003 at $43,318.

What makes you think that median income would be 
"far lower than $50K/year"?  I suggest you're guilty of the 
same sin you accuse the people in Holland of.
