I'm just curious.
What about letting go... ----It's good. So is
picking up.
Letting go of our desire to dominate the ever-changing reality. ----That's wisdom. Maharishi should
try it.
I have heard that the strongest souls (I'm not one of those) embrace changes and challenges in life with open arms. ----Yet you're trying, and so you
are intrepid.
I thought liberation meant letting go of all differences and embracing them at the same time. Quite the challenge that is. I cannot even wrap my brains around that one. ----I think the "I thought" part is
why.
Every time I have a chance to watch MMY early tapes, I'm amazed at the simplicity of the knowledge. The flower and the sap... The wave and the ocean.. Take it easy. Take things as they come, etc., etc. ----And yet, were those simple
things ever really intellectually engaging, or merely soothing and mind numbing?
Right after choosing the angle and merely diving (TM) , we dove into relativism,
abstraction, pseudoscience, chaos, and the meaninglessness of our striving, and
conmanship, dualism, conflict, confusion, and subtraction of all of our humanity
for some distant reward (TMO).
Maybe the TMO is not falling apart. It's just moving with the eternal changing flow of life. It's our own notion of it that is falling apart. -----Nice analogy but numbers speak
such relative truths the most purely.
If we are unable to follow the changes maybe we should stop looking for culprits, we should look to ourselves. -----Good advice
Why are we so afraid of changes? -----All of life is
change.
Why can't we follow the changes? -----We can and do follow the
change. I think we feel confused when some person tells us that if we change
something that that will be the last and best change, when we really know that
it won't and that all changes are merely samsara.
Is it easier to attack the new strategy than face our own incompetence and fears to apply it? ----A strategy is just to win
another battle. What about the stategy to win the ultimate battle over
change. Is that in sight?
It takes great courage to defy logic thinking of our ignorant society, like in the case of the TM instructions rates. ----That's not society, that's the
TMO. There is no 'society' as such. What there is are many isolated fringe
groups some with more power than others, and some of which feel as if they are
lords while others feel as if they're slaves. Even these are illusory as the
individual is the true field of Kurukshetra, living in the balance of opposites.
There is no society really, and any such perception should truely end upon
trying to communicate with another person. It can't be done in the way one
wants. Society is a myth. Kurukshetra is the battle of attraction and aversion.
Within the mindstream. Krishna bindu watches all from a view of being
untouched. The untouched mind or unborn mind watches all from the stance of not
being involved. And so why should people be driven like goats towards one land
or another?
Jesus came for Middle Easterners,
and the Apocalypse also will come for them. But beyond dualism and conflict is
Krishna, and beyond Krishna is the unborn mind. Untouched by the extremes
of warring factions, even those of the Gods of the realm. Best to know that and
leave all Gods and their conflicts behind.
Who Maharishi came for is hard to
tell.
Why are we so afraid to `sell' the door to eternal bliss for the amount the average worker in wealthy countries spends in alcohol, cigarettes, vacations, etc. per year? ----Because we have a technique
like a key, the door is the person themself which can't be sold. Moreover the
key doesn't fit every door.
Is it because deep within we do not believe in what we are selling? ----Belief today is doubt tomorrow.
Best to leave all notions behind and reside in clarity.
It's good to ask questions, it's
good to get answers. What a great time we are in. When I was a kid
no one could ask the right question or get the right answer.
Dualism, and conflict and their transcendence are all growing larger in scale. How exciting. To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!' Yahoo! Groups Links
