It was meant to be a joke, based on taking your statement "letting go is an effort" in a literal manner. When we get on one of these semantic merry-go-rounds sometimes a quick left turn is in order. The implication was supposed to be that if you see letting go as an effort then that would explain much of your "disagreement" with TM which is a practice that seems to be about the surrendering of control. I really did try hard to phrase it in a way that would not be an insult, I guess it didn't work and I apologise if I have misrepresented you. I was hoping to jostle things into some kind of middle ground where understanding takes place that is not based solely on strict scriptual interpretation.
