I never attributed it to a chakra and honestly you are incorrect, 
because it depends which chakra system you are using. Different systems 
will reverse these two centers, depending on their intent. This is a 
very important point!

No I am not. I indicated there were TWO mantras. The only way to know 
for sure is to have the actual mantric character itself or an authentic 
transliteration.

I also gave a modern example of parallel movements where the fire 
mantra is specifically used.

No I am specifically referring to Hindu teaching in the context to 
which you refer, specifically yoga-darshana and samkhya.

As someone trained in all the series of Ati-yoga (Dzogchen) I can tell 
you there is no similarity to TM. The primary similarity in Buddhism 
would be to shinay (shine).

This is an incorrect, unbased assumption. I rely of oral and 
experiential instructions of Patanjali from line holders.
