I know first hand of a women, around 55 who has received an SSI
check for depression every month for the past 15 years at least.
She just returned from a trip to China with some of her friends. I
know second hand of a businessman who some 25 yrs. ago was receiving
SSI checks for depression amounting to 50k per year, this, after he
encounted financial set backs. With three young kids, a mortgage,
part owner of a small businss in a higly competive field, I pretty
much feel like I run a low grade depression fever all the time.
