Interesting analysis. I might forward it to Earl and see if he responds. But I have a problem with your last sentence. Can you point me to such posts. I have a friend in India eager to observe such groups, especially the rumored large ones, but he can't find any. Sure, there are little schools in the back allies of Varanasi, but where are the big groups?
