Since you clearly had me in mind when you wrote this,
I might suggest that you go back and read the few posts
I've made to this forum today to find the one in which
I say that meditation should be taught free, at all times.

I, for one, have never made such a suggestion. To do so
would be to ignore the promptings of that ugly trend we
call Reality, and I pride myself on being at least a little
bit in touch with the R word. :-)

I just brought the Alternative Reality of teaching for free
up here because it wasn't being discussed, or even considered,
as an option. It's an option.

I'm just suggesting, to those whose lives might have led
them to a state of economically-based or will-based self
sufficiency, that they might give some thought to putting
a little of that beneficence back into the system. As far
as I can tell from my short time on this forum, *most* of
us here have been taught how to teach basic meditation.
That's a cool thing, a WAY cool thing. How many people on
this blue-green ball in black space can say that? It's a
gift.

The question seems to be what to do with that gift.

We could just sit on our butts and bitch about the org
that taught us to teach going senile within one generation,
or we could get off our butts and DO SOMETHING.

HOW one does something is up to the individual. I'm just
suggesting an alternate way of DOING SOMETHING, one in
which one pays for favors received by paying forward,
not back.
