Then you JOINED the most oppressive regime, the French, and that is when your little 'war of independence' (our 'skirmish in the provinces') turned against the British when the French joined in, so the British went off and defeated the French Catholic despots, who if the British had not defeated, YOU CURTIS, would be speaking French and living in a mono-religious regime run by the Pope.
