Thanks, Marek. The gulf between the metaphor "mantras of personal gods" and its referent in rishi-devata- chhandas is so huge and apparently unbridgeable, I don't know how anyone ever makes it across. If I hadn't been fortunate enough to start from the other end, via several remarkable TM teachers, I'm sure I'd never have come close. (Not that I have it nailed, by any means, but I have a bunch of stepping-stones that work for me.)
