I was in Norwich, UK at the same time - first WPA in 1979 - I still remember the very same thing very well - same reaction - everyone laughed uproariously through the entire thing. In fact, a few of us went out for a drink afterwards, it was so funny. Another fit of the giggles was on my TTC where there was a tape of a UK physicist - Brian (?)Josephson with Geoffrey Clements. Josephson was the ultimate eccentric - everytime he took a marker to write on the board he would then put it in his shirt pocket, which soon had about ten markers and Clements was left without any. Again, the whole group laughed throughout the entire tape. To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
