A benefit of reading FFL offline in an email client
has been brought home to me today. The Yahoo Web
interface has been slower than sap drippin' in a
Vermont winter. At least using the server that I
default to, us.js2.wmlg.com.

Click on a link, wait 30 seconds. Get fed up. Reload,
wait another 30 seconds. Click the Send button once,
wind up sending two copies. Ick.

On the other hand, focusing for a moment on the pearly
white teeth of this dead dog, this slowness has meant
that I haven't been able to just click past posts in
rapid succession. Instead I went to Message View and
wound up clicking on only the posts that I really felt
like reading, based on the title and one short synopsis
of the post's first few lines.

Wound up with more unclicked posts than clicked ones.
I may read FFL this way all the time; think of the
time I'd save. On the other hand, if everybody did
this no one would ever read any of my posts.

Somebody is reading this, right? :-)
