According to the USA jyotish, the American public has a chance to change the country's way doing things as signified by the new period of Mars which will start on October 2, 2008. The Democratic presidential candidate can either be Obama or Hillary. And, the election of either one will be a sharp departure of this country's tradition of electing white men for presidents.
On the other hand, if the American electorate votes McCain for president, there will be a great chance that the USA will get into another war, more likely with Iran--given the current state of international affairs. Economically and militarily, the USA cannot afford to get into this scenario. So, the election this November is not merely a political exercise. But the election would be a test of how the deep rooted American values can affect, for good or bad, the destiny of the country and the world as a whole.
