You'll have to ask someone who practices Tibetan Tantra. :) These are "Hindu" tantra techniques. However many tantriks hold that you should not mess with destiny (I guess the bigger picture) and use them to repel invaders (though it wouldn't surprise if a few invaders were probably offed by these techniques). How well they work depends on how much they've been practiced.
