I was made a TM initiator by Maharishi at Estes Park, CO in 1970. That was just before [as I and countless others perceived it] Maharishi took the TMO in a weird direction with SCI, the World Plan 'restructuring' - and the goofball bliss ninnies under that phony bastard Jerry Jarvis were allowed [directed] by Maharishi to take over the organization. >From the beginning I recognized that Transcendental Meditation is a Divine gift; likely the best thing that has happened to humanity in centuries. But what happened to the TMO under the direction of Maharishi, became just the opposite in the expression and meaningfulness of Transcendental Meditation in terms of genuine spiritual context. Saying "Jai Guru Dev" lost all of its *real* meaning and became merely a gesture of acceptance of Maharishi's endless bullshit programs requiring increasing cash payments which produced less and less outer results. [It would be very instructive for you to follow the TMO's hundreds of million$ to see what has actually been done with it.] The experience of Transcendental Meditation is sublime and Divine and doesn't survive well in a context of bullshit con-artistry - especially when that bullshit context becomes the defining model INSTEAD OF an expression of the *ACTUAL* inner and outer Divine Reality. That's my view. It's also my view that the TMO lost countless thousands of meditators as a result of the bullshit direction Maharishi took the organization. Today, TM is relegated to the outer fringes in the eyes of the public - and understandably so. I recently read the following from a long-time TMer: == "Somebody I respect very much had said, that Maharishi had lost contact with reality in his later years. There is something like a personality, and there are the pecularities of old-age for everyone. This doesn't take away anything of his spiritual status and achievements. And there is a good chance that it gets rectified now with people in charge who are able to see through super-ficialities and can see the essence in his teaching.
