Just heard from a friend back in Santa Fe, and one of the updates he gave me of people we know in commone reminded me of recent discussions here about TMers being discouraged from seeing other spiritual teachers.
One of the people my friend and I knew in common was a guy named Joe -- fiftyish, a hard worker, married to a lovely woman twenty years younger. Over a few too many beers (which was a fairly regular occurrence), Joe once confided in us that he married his wife as a virgin. He also confided that he was having a "problem" lately in that she wanted him to rent some porno movies to "spice up their sex life." Joe categorically refused. As he told us over his beer, "I don't want her seeing some guy whose Johnson is bigger than mine and gettin' ideas." So Joe's wife never got to see a porno movie. But my friend tells me that she just left Joe anyway, for being an insufferable control freak.
