The 'original' Buddha was Shakyamuni? Where did you read that? And who told you that there ever was such a thing as a 'Buddha' in the first place? But in fact, ALL the words spoken by Buddha are the TRUTH - Shakyamuni was not the last Buddha because Buddhism teaches that anyone can be a Buddha - there have been thousands of Buddhas in the past and there will be thousands of Buddhas in the future. It is a mistake to think that there was one single Buddha who spoke.
