However, it has always been the case - even way back in the eighties when they first opened a secondary TM school that MMY wanted to have it, but to keep it *very* low key - no Maharishi name or anything like that. The feeling then,(and now presumably) among people who were conferring with MMY, is that the consciousness of that part of the world would not take what seems to be thrown to the public in the west constantly (superradiance, etc.). So, ever pragmatic, keep it low key if that is the only way that it works. However, I remembered a lot of us being really surprised at how much "under the radar" MMY wanted everything to be. And, he was very involved in the setting up and keeping up to date, etc.
BTW, while it is not widely known in the West, it is better known among (though maybe not commonly) among TMers in Australia, NZ (fellow former colonist nations!) who are sometimes asked to visit and teach Sidhis or Ajurveda.
