That's more complicated. On the whole, the Muslim population of France wants to "fit in" more than anything else. They'd like to maintain as many of their traditional cultural values as possible while doing so, but if there is a conflict, on the whole being a citizen of a new country and following its laws is more important than, say, wearing a head scarf to a school in which Jews can't wear jamulkas and Catholics can't wear any specific religious garb (if such Catholic garb existed). What they think of the US should be obvious. Leave off the sadness, replace it with confusion and anger.
