Thats my experience to, if I am understanding you correctly. For example, when I start a post, I have no idea what i am going to say -- though its sad when I finish and have no I idea what I said. :) My response just starts with a feeling that something in another's is a bit difference from my experience. Or something is missing. And I start to write it out, various points come out, some pattern emerges, some larger theme. And in doing such, I learn many things that I was not conscious of before.
