why do you think the terrorists are the way they are, hopeless,
violent, and very very angry, oh and against 'democracy'?

I am reminded of the current issue in the news regarding the
possible purchase of Unocal oil company by China. People, American
citizens, are upset about this. Why? Because a foreign country with
whom we have had difficult relations in the past, is seeking to own
a large American corporation. And it bothers us. A lot.

Now just apply that to the perspective of those in the Middle East.
Ameica shows up, again, with guns blazing, killing people
indiscriminately, imposing martial law on a country that has been
under a totalitarian regime for years, creating nothing (oh, did we
paint a few schools?), and telling the people that we are there only
for them, only to set them free.

Would you believe us? Would you be angry? Possibly blinded by
hatred? Or just because America says the word 'democracy', you would
overlook the obvious hell that your world has become and welcome
the 'liberators' with flowers?

Please answer me that- how would you honestly react to America's
impositon of its military power if you were living in the Middle
East?
