---I thought it was a joke too; but the statement could be part of a
study in demographics: (such and such a group is composed
of...(name)). For example, the NBA has a dispropornate number of
athletes of African descent, a fact.  But then we have to
scientifically study the "whys" of the demographics; for example
applied to the Jews, or other groups: first, state an actual fact,
THEN attempt to find out the reasons behind the facts; e.g.
historically, have European Jews tended to gravitate toward certain
professions deemed unworthy by others, such as (money lending, diamond
cutting...whatever).  What are the reasons for historical prejudices
toward the Jews?  (hint: did Martin Luther have something to do with
it???).) Why are some of the greatest geniuses of all time Jews?
Examples: Richard Feynman, Einsten... Are the reasons for this purely
cultural?  Could they be genetic?  If the latter, one might be labeled
a "racist".
