---I thought it was a joke too; but the statement could be part of a study in demographics: (such and such a group is composed of...(name)). For example, the NBA has a dispropornate number of athletes of African descent, a fact. But then we have to scientifically study the "whys" of the demographics; for example applied to the Jews, or other groups: first, state an actual fact, THEN attempt to find out the reasons behind the facts; e.g. historically, have European Jews tended to gravitate toward certain professions deemed unworthy by others, such as (money lending, diamond cutting...whatever). What are the reasons for historical prejudices toward the Jews? (hint: did Martin Luther have something to do with it???).) Why are some of the greatest geniuses of all time Jews? Examples: Richard Feynman, Einsten... Are the reasons for this purely cultural? Could they be genetic? If the latter, one might be labeled a "racist". > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Isn't what you said anti-semitism? > > Hey, criticising the policies of the state of Israel > when they use a US-supplied bomb to kill a houseful > of civilians in an attempt to assassinate one guy > in the house they *suspect* is a terrorist is called > antisemitism these days. > > Consider FFL.
