Why not just 'critic?' Or just 'human?'

The thing that gets me is when people blur boundaries
in the use of the term "anti-TMer." Criticism of MMY
personally, for example, of his stance on Britain or
democracy, is portrayed as "anti-TM," that is, anti
the technique of Transcendental Meditation. Criticism
of the TM organization is often portrayed the same way.

It's like the dogma of "never entertain negativity"
has gone WAY too far, and people have been trained to
interpret anything criticial of one aspect of the
organization that *deserves* criticism as criticism
and clear opposition to *everything* in the organi-
zation, including TM itself. Fundamentalism, as
you said.

If it were only the "warmongers," that would be one thing.
When an entire population seems to swallow these euphem-
isms, and use them to keep from ever considering what
they really mean, that's quite another. See, I told you
I rant when I get on this subject. :-) Soon I'll log
out and start listening to some of the Live 8 stuff.
Maybe that'll help. Or make it worse. Whatever.
