No matter what your situation, you avoided service while others served. You could have served, but didn't. So what if your number was high--ever hear of volunteering?

I have no problem whatsoever with people who didn't want to go to VN and did what they could to avoid it. However, mocking the service of others, who put themselves in danger and served admirably, is pathetic and mean-spirited, especially when *your* ass was never in any danger. Don't you have any sense of honor at all?

And, as Judy said, you'd better be able to bak up your own refutations, not just spout drivel that others have written.

Sal, I also think I know where you are going with this. I never claimed to be a hero or run for office claiming  I was one, either. When you make such claims, you better be able to back them up because you come under the eye of very close scrutiny, especially when running for the highest office in the land.
