Hello dear friends,
Art Atkinson asked that I send out the following information with the
request that it be spread quickly into our community. So please pass this
information on from your lists......

Our brave Molly Atkinson, has been struggling with on-going infections and
physical challenges following the car accident she had last fall that left
her as a quadrapelgic.

Most recently she has developed three different overwhelming bacterial
infections and was transferred to Iowa City for treatment. She had a DNR
(do not resuscitate) order before this incident, and has now decided to
refuse any further medical interventions.

Today she has been transferred to the Palliative Care Unit at the University
Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City where she is likely to transition in the
next day or two. She is being treated to control her physical discomfort.
The Palliative care unit is like 'birthing unit" so it is more homey,
private and quiet in design. The nurses there are very skillful and
compassionate. Her dear friends and family are with her.

Prayers, meditations, and blessings are requested from her deeply beloved
spiritual family here in Fairfield during this delicate and powerful period
in her life. I know we wish for all the blessings of Heaven to be showered
on our beloved sister , Molly. Knowing that she is soon to be free and
dancing in Heaven, we pray for comfort and peace to fill those of us left
behind as we grieve for our loss of her...here in our Earthly life.

God's tender mercies and blessings to Molly and to us all,
Jennifer Hamilton
