In the 1965 book Vedic Mathematics by Sankaracharya Swami Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji, Gandharva Veda is listed repeatedly as one of the four upavedas, corresponding to Sama Veda. This is exactly as Maharishi outlined it. The other upavedas are Ayurveda, Sthapatya Veda, and Dhanurveda.
