I guess one question is, how would they have to look in order for you to respect them? I think the whole thing is great, those people have the balls to pursue their dreams and wear those outfits no matter what society in general may think. I'm 54 years old and one thing that I am starting to realize is just how short our lives are. Most of us spend our lives trying to achieve a status of some kind of normal success as if that will push us over the top and it will be smooth sailing the rest of the way. But that is our story book happy ending and as Joseph Campbell observed: "The happy ending is justly scorned as a misrepresentation. For the world as we know it yields but one ending: death, disintegration, dismemberment, and the crucifixion of our heart and the passing of the forms that we have loved. The happy ending of a fairy tale--a myth in the divine comedy of the soul--is to be read not as a contradiction, but as a transcendence of the universal tragedy of man." I look at these Rajas with their outlandish outfits, the surreal pomp and circumstance and I think "good for them!", they are attempting to write a new ending, one that transcends the boundaries formed by that predictable arc of life and death and incorporates life into life. Oh and Llundrub, I can think of one thing flattering to say about them; they remind me of YOU. You have spent your whole life trying to rewrite the ending. I'll bet you would look pretty good with a gold crown on your head.
