A doctor who's finished internship can stop hyper or hypothyroidism by many
cues.  TSH/T3/T4 are tested to verify the doctor's conclusion and to give
her an indication on how/how much to treat the thyroid condition.

Ayurvedic physicians aren't the only ones who look at patients.  You can
spot a lot of things about a patient's current status from just looking,
talking, listening, poking and lubing up the rubber glove.
