My statement was intended as a memory of mine in the context of the rest of my post - not an accusation against the messenger/speaker. No doubt he was passing on what he was told to say as many us have done. I don't feel any antagonism whatsoever towards him. My focus in my post was on the message, not the messenger. Enough said.
