Al Gore said: "I took the initiative in creating the Internet." That's exactly what he said. HOWEVER, in context, he said something else entirely. Do you understand my point? Judy was claiming that, in- context, Wilson's meaning was crystal clear and that it was not at all ambiguous and did NOT say what you seem to think it said. Likewise, Al Gore said he "took the initiative in creating the internet," but in context, he completely obviously meant something else entirely: Al Gore said: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system."
