I'm never depressed there no matter where I'm coming from. In its way, it's a very honest place. I wrote several of the stories in Road Trip Mind while sitting in the bar at Yab Yum, the most famous brothel in Amsterdam. It's filled with gold buddhas and authentic Asian art and lovely women who kinda adopted me as their pet, comme Toulouse Lautrec. And the stories themselves turned out full of light, as far as I can tell.
