Before anyone else comes rushing in to give me
shit about this, my remark above was what we call
in the trade a "cheap-ass joke." Notice the smiley
at the end?

It was ALSO, given my tendency to indulge in...uh
...double-entendres and wordplay, a statement of
sorts about the nature of "reality."

Same scenario. Different interpretations.

Mike's, and possibly others' on this forum, might
be to search for an interpretation that was some-
how "cosmic" and fraught with meaning. If at all
possible, "Vedic" (really Hindu) meaning. "Spir-
itual" meaning.

Mine was purely Western, and pretty much what any
competent Western shrink would say, given the same
scenario.

So which is "better>" Which "correct?" Which "right?"

My view is NEITHER. They're just different inter-
pretations, that's all. Pure fuckin' speculation.
Neither has ANYTHING to do with "reality" or what
such visions might "mean," or whether they "mean"
anything at all.

There are some on this forum who feel otherwise.
They seem to feel that *their* interpretation of
any event is the one that is "better" or "correct"
or "right."

I cry bullshit.

I think that pretty much everyone here -- including
myself -- is just indulging in pure speculation,
and that NOT ONE of us has any fuckin' clue as to
the "real" nature of "reality."

I further extend this statement to every spiritual
teacher in human history. I don't think that ANY
of them had any fuckin' clue, either. ALL of them
were indulging in *exactly* the same kind of idle
speculation, in search for "meaning" where possibly
none lies.

So shoot me. That's what I really believe. You
believe whatever *you* want. What you choose to
believe does not affect me in any way. What I
choose to believe does not affect you in any way
unless you choose to allow it to. And that's just
the way the snake slithers.
