But missing is a detailed account of what occurs when the 3-rd eye chakra is awakened. Kirpal Singh goes into this in terms of listening to the Celestial Music; as well as Nityananda, Guru of Muktananda. As Adi Da points out, Muktananda emphasized the seeing property of the 3-rd eye chakra: Blue Pearl; whereas Nityananda emphasized the hearing property: listening to the OM, but not in a dualistic sense. Being fully immersed in and as the OM allows one to transcend relativity and abide in the Self (according to Nityananda). Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj (grand-Gurus of many "Neo-Advaitins") stated that a type of Living Flame resided permanently at their 3-rd eye center. Kriya Yoga Guru Satyeswarananda Giri also mentions the Flame of Light, at the center of which resounds the OM. The Sant Mat Gurus go further with a particular Sidhi: "Rising above bodily Consciousness". This is a state in which Celestial phenomena may be experienced culminating in Unity. Baba Faqir Chand was in the Sant Mat Tradition and says he experienced all that Tradition had to offer but no longer listened to the Celestial Music. He stated that the Silence of Being was more profound and thus superseded the sensory engagement in listening to the Celestial Music. However, Nityananda's position differed. He says (in his transcripted statements) that one can realized the Self and still "enjoy" being immersed in the OM.
