About 1/3 way into your post, I was really, really excited and was
dying to know what you had heard.

But by the time I got to the reference to "Bavarian tomatoes" I
figured I'd been had.

It reminded me of the time I saw Andy Kaufman do his stand-up act at
MIU (circa 1976). The MC announced that Andy was running late and
until he came on we would have a visiting initiator from Chile tell
us what was going on in his country. For 20 excruciating minutes, I
honestly thought the poor sap in front of me WAS an initiator from
Chile until he said in his latin american accent: "take my wife,
please!".
