Of course it's psychobabble. Of course you were trying to
do what's fair. And of course there would always be some
inconsistency despite your best efforts. But jeez, we
ought to be able to live with that given your obviously
good intentions and sense of fairness. If you were an
unpredictable, arbitrary tyrant whom we didn't trust,
it would be something else again, but you aren't.
