And, before Walmart, Fairfield had a Ben Franklin and a Pamida. It's very popular to hate Walmart, but I find Walmart vastly more pleasant than the old Ben Franklin and Pamida stores, which IMO, were dingy and depressing. I have no objection to FF's Walmart, and I look forward to the new SuperWalmart that they just started building a few weeks ago. But, if a Target were to open up in FF, Walmart would lose most of my business.
