Relatively speaking (in comparison to large meditation movements), oh yeah. Although having said that, there are many mahasiddhas and enlightened beings who only met their teacher once or a couple of times in their entire lifetime. Once there's been an authentic "pointing out instruction" (of the primordial state) and there is a "connection" given to the lineage of masters, that's all one may need.
