Oh, I don't think your problem here was transliteration.
"Tulku" is a common enough term in its anglicized spelling.
And "Tuklu" was most likely not a typo, since you misspelled
it the same way twice. (Whether "Tibetian" above is a typo
or a misspelling, I can't say.)

On this, however, you're (mostly) correct, and I was wrong
to correct you. Official records, including of her birth
(although perhaps not in the family Bible, to which I'm
afraid I have no access), have it as "Carrie," and many
sources use that spelling. She did adopt "Carry" once she
became widely known, however.
