Whenever whistling is brought up, the only thing that comes to mind 
now -- thanks to Quentin Tarantino -- is the whistling soundtrack that 
accompanies Darryl Hannah's character in "Kill Bill, Vol. 1" as she 
enters the hospital intent on killing the Bride. Apparently the 
whistling is from some famous movie from the past that Tarantino has 
reproduced (most of everything in the movies he makes are from other 
movies) but for the life of me I don't know from which movie exactly.
