Much of the war coverage, unlike Viet Nam, is censored, or not covered in terms of seeing the carnage which the American soldiers are suffering; there is not even allowed to be pictures of the many coffins coming into the Air Force Base @ Dover, in Delaware, where I lived for a short time; around the beginning of the war, back in 2003; seems like a long time ago...
It was amazing to see, the huge transport flying day after day, when the war first started, and try to imagine all of the wasted tons of equipment, fuel and supplies, man and woman were being sent there. Day and night the transport flew, shaking the ground. One time we were driving around the back of the airport (there was a detour that day, at Dover, and Air Force One, kept circling around and around, almost landing and then taking off again. My friend who was with me, said she really thought they had two Air Force Ones, but that's a contradiction in concepts.., come to think of it! R.G.
