I am in a position to have been able to download a
version of the Golden Globes awards show and then
fast-forward it, watching only the "good parts." I
was interested in seeing what various celebrities
look like these days, especially when drunk (the
Golden Globes gig serves booze; the Oscars does
not...Dustin Hoffman was definitely drunk). :-)

I look forward to seeing "The Descendants." This
much praise overcomes my initial "ho hum" reaction
to the trailers. I watched "Moneyball" last night
and found it a surprisingly good movie, even though
I am officially The World's Premiere Not A Sports
Guy. It's not really about baseball per se; it's
about drawing outside the lines, thinking out of
the box, and the occasional effect that has on
people who believe that there is nothing *but*
drawing inside the lines and thinking inside the
box.
