Oh, yes, and we could also talk about just how
voluntarily many of them are risking their lives,
when they've fulfilled their military obligation
but are forced to extend their tours in Iraq 
because we're rapidly running out of fresh forces.

And about how their lives wouldn't be at such risk
if we'd only sent a sufficient number of forces in
the first place.

Or if we'd spent some time planning what we were
going to do in Iraq after the initial hostilities,
instead of allowing the insurgency to take root
because we were happily expecting flowers and candy
from the Iraqis.

Not to mention if we hadn't blundered into the war
in the first place because Bush thought a nice war
would be just the thing to decorate his legacy.
