USA Gymnastics sets standards and certifies club membership. Fairfield's
Gymnastics program is just getting started. Last fall our coach moved his
fledgling club of about 15 kids who were meeting in his garage once a week in
Brighton to the Fairfield Recreation Center. Now he has over 200 time slots for
kids meeting 5 days a week. The growing interest in his program has generated
so much enthusiasm for gymnastics in Fairfield that the city powers-that-be are
talking about building a gymnastics center. Once we have a center we can join
USA Gymnastics and our kids can compete with other clubs.
